Standard issue cavalry issue shell jacket. it has small twelve eagle button front, trimmed in yellow wool tape. This jacket has the regulation "pillows" and "V" cut in the back. The collar has the regulation two double strips of yellow trim. Two small eagle buttons are used to button the cuff. The jacket is fully lined of black cotton with off-white muslin cotton sleeve lining, it also has interior pocket on the left side of the coat.
